Take a look at my picture page when its approved. It has some of the high points for the new Pred (I didnt write them, I just posted them[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]). I also wonder what the z450 will be like, they cant very well come out with something that is behind the others already. They pretty much have to come out with a winner out of the box. I dont envy anybody looking for a new sport quad, there are too many good choices. Good luck.

 

The 05' Z and kfx has a 37mm mikuni carb compared to the previous year models 36mm carb. They also have piggy back shocks. What do you think about a 03' kfx 400 for $3500. A guy down the road has one for sale in his yard and he said it has about 60 hours on it. You can add a 440 big bore kit for a couple of hundred bucks and spank the yfz's rear end.

 

I heard that the 05 z is going to be able to beat a yoshi pipe 13 tooth k+n W/rev box. I don't know about thay but I bet it will definitly be faster than my brand new 04z

 

The 05 Z's also have a wider cam profile, and an extra clutch disk to get the power to the ground with less slippage. There won't be a kfx450 that is like the z450. Suzuki and Kawasaki wisely agreed not to share race tech. I'd go test drive a Pred. and see what you think. You have a z400, and the 05 won't be anymore powerful than the one you are currently riding, it will just have a little better suspension up front. I'd consider waiting for the z450. I'm sure it will eat a predator when it comes out.

 

Overall, I think Polaris has done a good job addressing issues that the Pred has had. I would like to see how the seat/suspension/reverse updates pan out. If it was done right, then I don't see many reasons to buy a z400 right now. They are both great quads though, and one may fit your style a bit better than the other. Suzuki, just release that 450 soon and help clear up all this smoke please.

 

If it were me, I would wait another year. The yfz450 has ben out 1 yr, same with honda 450r. They are improving on the bad faults. The predator has been for a couple of years and the tech. just seem to keep improving as well as they are fixing there mistakes. The newer 4-stroke sports quads are getting better and better with tech. A couple more years and Suzuki and Kawasaki will have a nice 450, if not comparable. It depends if you want to be the first one on the block with a new model?
Personally, I think that you should get what you like best, then start modding it. You have a KFX400, are you not happy with it? I mean you NOS'ed the thing out, and obviously made other mods, if you like something else, by all means but Patience is a verture[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

If you already have a KFX then just wait for the Z450, don't waist your time with anything from Polaris.

 

Right now my quad is in the shop with th engine torn apart because i have to get the $ucking timing chain replaced.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] I am so pissed. but about the pic when ever i go into my pics and click on add it does nothing as well as my instant messege. I dont know what to do , ihave the pics saved in my computer. If i cant get working should i post them on a website? Also i will know today how bad the nos messed with my piston.
