An inline fuel filter sure won't hurt......but the Eiger has an internal tank fuel filter.......check with your dealer for more info on this.

The factory screen is ok, but the Eiger is known for crap flaking off the tank and making it to the carb. It happened to me on my first big downhill. After adding the filter, no problems.

Is any in line fuel filter ok or do you need differnet sizes for differnet engine sizes. Also is it normal for the fuel filter not to be full of fuel all the time, mine sometimes looks empty but the bike still goes fine and then when you look again it is full up!

Well I get to pick it up today. I wnated the auto but I am coming home with the manual. Dealer had one 04 left in manual. got it for 1600 less then MSRP. I could not turn up a deal like that. Also got plow backseat fender protectors and winch for accessories. Can't wait. Will post again after some ride time. Thank you for all the info provided, and everyone have a great holiday season.
