Why did they stop making the LT 500? [Quad Zilla]

 

because at the time every manufacter was getting sued .honda got the most the the lawsuits though .

why do you think they have that big under 16 label on every quad. they were getting sued becasuse they were making performance race machines and meatheads were buying them with no previous experience and hurting themselves then blaming it on the company.

 

Because our legal system allows ambulance chasers to file lawsuits and cost companies money without the risk of punishment if it's frivolous.

 

thats weak that all that happened. i hear two strokes wont be around much longer anyhow.

they are only disapearing because companies are being lazy and not building clean 2-stroke technology like the snowmobile and outboard boat motors are.

 

If memory serves me correctly they didn'y stop making it because "people were suing them" but because they simply werent making enough profit off it......

 

That sounds more reasonable. Was their ever a shootout between the Zilla and the Shee back in the 80's? Even though the Zilla had a bigger displacement i bet the Banshee was pretty close in a drag race.
