'96 King Quad Start Problem
My '96 King Quad will not start due to the fact that the sensor(or something like that) won't sense that it is in neutral.
Where is this sensor? Or is there 2 sensors because of the reverse lever being on the gas tank? |
'96 King Quad Start Problem
Sometimes they kinda stick, I make a point of always parking mine in neutral to avoid this problem. You can take the seat off and use the pull rope and it will start even if not in neutral, then play with the shifter til ya get it there. Might work anyway............

'96 King Quad Start Problem
The bike is in neutral now, it just does not know it(bad sensor, or something)
The green neutral light won't come on, so it won't start. |

Can you not hold in the rear brake to bypass the neutral safety switch?

'96 King Quad Start Problem
Not that I know of.
It is at the shop now. The tech said it is a plastic thing that had a wire coming out of it for a ground. When in neutral, it closes the circuit and the light comes on. He said the plastic could be broken, or the wire may have come loose. |

'96 King Quad Start Problem
I have about 2000 KM's (1250 miles) on my Mud Lites and really have no wear on them. (I drive mostly mud, sand, snow)
My boss has 4000 KM's (2500 miles) or more and runs alot of hard packed woods roads and has about 1/4" worn off them. 40% to 50% of the bikes around here have Mud Lites because of 2 dealers competing and selling them for almost half price. My front tires were the same price as the OEM's they were taking off the new bikes.(And putting on the Mud Lites) I have not heard of 1 bad comment against the tires. (I sliced a side wall on a back tire in a mud hole. I don't know what cut it) I love the tires, just wish I had the ground clearence LOL The extra tread would be nice of the XT, but would the difference in tread size in effect make the tire bigger(remember your transmision in 4X4, would it bind up???) I would think that you would have to go up a size in tires so you could get the XT in both the front and back. I am not sure, just my .02 Let me know what you decide. |
