King Quad vs Bomb 800
#1
Anyone have an honest side by side comparison of these two? Price is about $1300 difference and 100cc's in engine size. Hard to beat the comfort and handling of the Bomb...<arghhh>

well red not only for sum price but for me its wat i do and for wat the machine is capble of , the king quad is ideal for me, each atv kinda has its own personality , i find the king to have technology that i would use and like the bomb 800 has a whole buch of stuff i would't use and won't mind not to have and i can save and i think the 800 is ugly as hell and to long and blucky, so wat the bomb has about 100 cc more any thing over 500 can get u any where , its the ground clearance and tires that matter and are u really gonna go past 60 on a trials with trees every where thats dum , their frickin 4x4 for mud not speedin i think the king quad is a much better deal. with the 1300 i save i can get after market and street legal kit and still have money left over who knows maybe i'll throw in a sounds system like that one guy and his brute it looks sick

I picked up mine today and it cost me $8,600 (tax not included) for the XT. Your price is way off. I'll bet that when the standard models come out in Sept. you can get one for under $8,000 out the door and I live in CT, one of most expensive states in the US.
No offence but you can modify any big bore you want and it still won't offer the overall performance like 800 Outty!!!!!!!!!!

$8600!!!! That is a lot of money- at least for me it is. That is $1800 more expensive than what I paid for the KQ. I think $1800 would do quite a bit of mods to a bike..... But I guess I spent a lot of money on my 800 MXZ X snowmobile too.....
I bet that is a nice bike though- been riding a 400 of my buddies and it seems pretty nice, except that little motor. I love there sleds, and it seems that they make a great bike too. Can not wait to hear how that thing is performing.

Here's a side by side comparsion.
Bomb 800
800cc engine
EFI
639lbs
Front Diff. Lock
$8,600+tax
KQ 700
695cc engine
EFI
602lbs
Front Diff Lock
$7,199+tax (MSRP)
The only obvious thing the Bomb 800 has over the KQ is more power. You have to decide if 105cc of engine is worth the extra cash.

Don't get caught in all this big bore hipe. If your buddies all have to have the biggest baddest atv made, let them go out waste there money. ( or should I say the banks. Because most of them like being in debt up to there eye *****) One thing I can promiss you is, when the end of the trail comes. You won't be more than a couple of quad lengths back.

Is it true that the tires on the Bomb are of an aftermarket quality rather than the 'typical' OEM tires? That, for me, would help take a bit of the bite out of the price tag as well as giving a good reason for that extra 39 pounds.
