I might buy a z400 tomorrow, and i was wondering about either a BIG GUN slipon or a MUZZY slipon ?

List pros and cons of both or why one might be better than the other, i am looking for a very deep low pitched sound

ive heard the big gun on a honda 400 ex and it sounded bad ***. ive never heard of muzzys, but theyll both prolly give you equal performance. i found a chart that said the CT pipe gives best performance and you can download a file and listen to the exhaust. i think it was at www.dirttdoggs.net or .com. check it out

it wasnt a vid it was just a music file. if you go to the site (dirttdoggs.net) , up top should be a thread or link that says like best pipe for Z/KFX 400, click on that, then itll show you like the top 5 pipes, then there should be a thing that says listen to the pipe or somethin like that, click on it and it should just download the file so you can listen.if you cant get it i have it saved and ill try and figure out how to post it on here or give me your e mail and ill send it to you

I would not waste my money on a slip on pipe. Save up and go with the complete exhaust system. The header pipe is where the power is at. If you just want noise, get the slip on. If you want power, get the complete system.

The power is made in the header pipe because even if you put a slip on on your bike, what good is it going to do if the header is still flowing the same amount of air until it gets to the end?? The power difference you really notice in a slip on is when you jet it

Like i say the noise i am looking for doesnt need to be the loudest or all that loud, i want people to know thats its aftermarket i heard a honda trx450r once that was all "modded" i dont think he had the motor modded but suspension and stuff. it made a real deep low sound which i really liked, i cant remember what pipe he had tho
