A buddy of mine is considering getting this quad. I'm trying to talk him into going bigger, but he's being a wuss. j/k. One thing I couldn't find out from Suzuki's website is, does the ATV have a diff locker? I've ridden bikes with and without and I wouldn't buy one without. Thanks.

It depends on what he plans to do with it. but as far as bang for the buck the BF650 is a heck of a machine for 200.00 more. Locker, more power, similar SRA rear suspension, smoth running v-twin, and tons of aftermarket mods available to keep him up the performance as he chooses. Both are sporty 4x4's, if working the quad hard, allot of mud and deap water riding were his main priorities the Vinson 5 speed auto clutch would be my choice. Gear on gear trans are very good for work and pulling.

No locker, I bought one for mine for $325.00 from Highlifter. My buddy has a Vinnie also without a locker and can go anywhere I can with the locker. If one wheel starts spinning he just taps the front brake and power is shifted to the other side. He has 28" Mudlites wich are a little taller than my 28" gators. I have seen him go thru 3' of mud with water up to the racks.

Thanks, Glad I could help.
Also he can climb hills better than I can. The locker has toqure steer. It pulls from one side to the other when climbing and I have to let up on the throttle and he just stays on his.
He can go over slippery rocks and logs better to as his Mudlites have a softer rubber compound than my Gators. I thnk they are wearing faster tho. That just means he gets to get new ones sooner. The 28"Gators have better traction in the mud but I don't gain anything because his 28" Mudlites are taller.
