knowsalot..from what i have saw the exhaust it was almost in the center but not prefect in the middle like the outlaw .still kind of off ,but maybe it was center and the pipe gave it a look of not being in the middle and it was.

blackbird,
The exhaust shot from the camera angle made the exhaust appear a bit to the left of the center when standing directly behind it, but it could be in the direct center. It was hard to tell exactly.

RPyfz450,
I was just messing with ya on that last post. Who knows how many of the features on that video will actually show up on the production model. That video was dated on 7/7/05....so anything is possible before it heads to the asembly line I suppose.

Considering the speculation that the exhaust is rather centrally located, it is an efi setup and they have touted a trick exhaust, could we be seeing an engine setup like the Cannondale with the airbox and EFI in front and a short header to the rear of the cylinder? That would make sense since a centrally mounted silencer would interfere with an airbox in the traditional location. Add that to the lights being located similarly to the YFZ, that clears the nose up to be able to breathe in the needed air for a front mounted airbox.

After seeing the video myself,I find it hard to figure out just what SUZUKI was showing dealers that they didn't want customers to see...................lol.The thing is so hazy I don't think anyone would really be able to tell what they were looking at without pausing and really disect it(As you apparently have done).I did enjoy watching the old footage of Gary Denton though.

So you couldn't tell if the header runs in the traditional way or if it is missing and therefore, possibly a reverse cylinder design?

the promise i heard is that it is real screamer with "REAL" tuned pipe
and cam and EFI will just add more stronger linear power,i really guess
it should be same level as a cannondale with high redline rpm as well.
no bulls on the suspension, best shocks ever offer on a sport quad, suzuki is first on 4 wheels and will prove it with this one...

I think that possibly could be the new 450, or a "prototype" anyway. The mags i read that said they got info on it did mention detachable headlight for easy race # mounting and a center mounted exhaust, and this pic seams to possibly match that description, along with the other side view pic that is out there.
