The above is the buggs that the 04" YFZ450 had for those who don't know.

Also people complained about the paper thin seat.

why base how many bugs the suzuki will have off of the yamaha? how many bugs did the z-400 have? not many and that was their first real sport 4 stroke

 

As long as you dont count weak frames. I wasnt a big fan of the integrated grab bar or chain adjustment either.

 

everything has it's problems....even if it is a solid machine the first year there will be stuff breaking, and you can bet there won't be much warrenty work on a racer

 

I just talked to my engine builder who was at the dealer show in Indy and he said that it is coming out but looks to be a late 06 model. Also it does look to be a bit expensive when compared to the current Z400 but will be comparable to the other 450's out. Also I don't know how close the Suzuki/Kawi alliance is with this new machine but in the Oct issue of Dirt Wheels on page 20 they have a pic of the Kawi 450 and the first thing I saw was the kick start and it says "The only thing our contact did say he heard was that the new Kawi 450 may have reverse." I know a lot of people that are still turned off of the 450R because electric start is often the difference between holeshot and midpack. I hope that Suzuki and Kawi don't make Honda's mistake and save a few pounds with a kickstart. Reverse is not a big deal but for a lot of XC riders and racers it comes in handy at times.
