Pastor,
maybe you should preach to a different choir who isn't as fluent in ATV's as you are. There is no way the brakes on the Outlander are more vulnerable to the elements than the KQ.
You need to be in over 12" of mud before the brakes on the Outtie are affected and only 9" for the KQ.

The KQ is one very fine machine,I know,I OWN one for the last yr or so..BUT,it dont even come close to comparing to the all out performance and comfort that the new BIG DOG on the block offers[800 Bomb].I know this too, cause I rode one of these quite extensively and I knew I just had to have one after the first ride.I am not in the LEAST bit worried about the exposure of the Bomb front brakes..My BIGGEST concern was how open the underside of the frame was,and 150 bucks later,I fixed that when I ordered up the Bomb skid plates.
Keep in mind that it would have to take ONE HELL OF an ATV to get me off my KQ,and I'll tell you,the new 800 is ALL THAT!

I will have to agree with kodiac 1 about the belt on the king quad. I havent had any problems with water in my belt housing on my bf 750 but my friends king quad gets water in his belt housing. When the back of the KQ drops down in the water, by the back rack such as coming out of a creek or something it takes on water and the belt slips everytime. The drain plug from what i hear on the first ones to come out is under the skidplate so you have to cut a hole in the skidplate to get to it or tip it straight up in the air and let it drain out. It does lack power on the bottom end more noticable with bigger tires that we have found out. I dont know much about the bombardier 800 i am researching and learning myself but i do know the kingquad has an awsome ride, very soft and get gets great fuel economy.

Well...this all sounds great. In reality, one would have to expect such a leap in performance. Especially for over 10,000,00 Someone on another site said they are really 8500.00...No way. I asked the dealer today and they aint goin down. So...Do I want to enjoy the K.Q. for what I consider reasonable or take the plunge. I think I will stick with the king. Another thing is this: I dont ecspecially like the looks of the Outlander BUT...the incredible leap in the industry because of this machine will benefit everyone!
