85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
I guess I wasn't fully in neutral, but I put it into neutral fully now and the reverse gear works perfectly. I got my white brothers front bumper installed today, its from a yfz450, it looks sick. I also got my banshee nerf bars installed today. I'm getting new nets sewed, so hopefully they turn out good. The banshee nerfs where a direct bolt up. I will get some pictures of the quad when I get the a-arms painted and the nerf bars nets installed. Hopefully by saturday I will have everything together and the engine should be in the frame by monday. I also have brand new white plastics and a modified front hood. I also picked up some grab bar covers on ebay and have some new grips installed. Now all I need is longer tie rods and I am all set.
well to be completely honest, i was a lil bit embarassed that i had crashed. someone like me who has built 50+ of these bikes now, rode everyone i built, plus all the experience i have with 230's, its a bit of a dent in the old record. i always complained to my ridin buddies about how unsafe they rode, and i end up with a hospital trip. talk about ironic. all total i had 19 fractured bones and 1 clean break on my collar bone plus the dime sized bruise on my brain. so all in all, i got the crappy end of the stick.
maybe soon i'll get a vid of her. I have a race coming up in October at Powerline Park in Cambridge Ohio. i may make it for that one. its a nice GNCC track from what i've heard. I still have some tweakin to do with the carb and engine. I ran on alky yesterday, stright alky. i dusted a stock ltz400 by a few hundred feet racing around the pond we have by my house.
