85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
Hey guys! Been reading this thread for a while now and figured I should share some of my pics. I have an 85 QS and have been rebuilding it from the ground up. Its still stock but I'm very impressed with it's performance (for 20 years old). I got it free and have only spent about $400 on it so far. It was in real bad shape when I got it. I should have taken pics but when I get wraped up in somthing I don't realy stop till I'm done. I took it out yesterday with my buddy who has a 2000 big bear and smoked him to my suprise. The old quad still has some pep in her step. Also wanted to thank you guys for all the good info and pics, its been the driving force for the rebuild. Now I just need the wife to come off the check book!! LOL

great job man. Glad to see someone else takeing an intrest in the 230. You gotta first year too. If your going to restore something its always great to have either the first or last year.
Love the pics. ( that rider looks to be under 16 years old though
Whatcha plan on doing to it next? And good luck with the "wife and checkbook" thing. The money I went through working on mine is still a sore spot with my wife. Now a days if I even act like I maybe interested in a part for my machine, I get this "YOU BETTER NOT" stare coming from her direction...............!
When I try to explain thats its and old quad and that I will need spare parts, its the ole " Should have bought a new one instead of wasting all that money on an old one" routine
But I digress.
Let us know if we can help with any issue you may have with your 230. But it looks to me like you have done well so far.
