LOL, I think its funny that whoever rigged your quad hooked the coil wires to the kill switch. I guess it works, but grounding the signal that is supposed to go to the coil doesn't seem like it would be good for the CDI, lmao! I guess w/o a diagram, how are you gonna know? Just find a wire that kills the engine and whatever.

Randy--
I was looking at replacing my oem switch with this:
http://www.bikebandit.com/product/A5224105
So if you don't like that one, I'll give you mine for cheap? I like the idea of being able to shut off the lights and the push-button kill.

Ok.. Randy or any of u guys willing to take the hood off. How many wires come out of the rectifier. is it the Triangular one or the rectangular one? Does it have a plug connector at the end or just bullet connectors?
I've got everything else labeled (switch wiring etc.), I'm assuming the following of what isn't left to wire up:
Orange goes to "x?" on the rectifier - grey to switch - rest @ switch covered
Solid black on mag should be grounded with the rectifier & black/white stripe wires.
I'm looking on ebay and I can't tell if the rectifier has 1 wire or if its a shielded cable with 2 wires....?

My new pictures should be up. I have been thinking about how I can cover up my bare metal & and beautify a little bit anyway the quad w/o having to spend an arm & leg (meaning bead or sandblasting & then powder coating).
So I came up w/ using Herculiner (for those that don't know used for bedliner for trucks as a do it yourself instead of rhino lining etc). 1 quart cost $30.00 and recommends doing two coats so that's what I did. I have the frame and swing arm done as seen in the pictures and 1st coat on the axle carrier and still have a little more left in the can. I will have to buy another quart to finish off the a-arms, kicker and some other little things I have left but, I really like how it first of all should completely protect my metal parts from rust since I stripped and grinded all the original paint off and it will easily cleanup and finally looks a whole lot better and when all said & done will cost around $60.00 (2 quarts Herculiner).
To see how tuff it is I used a screwdriver after it dried for a couple of days and took a couple of good stabs at the frame and didn't even do anything to the liner so should last for a very very long time.

I have a bayou and a 250ex and I never use anything but the high beams anyway. So, I really have no use for the dimmer. I appreciate the offer though. I think it was gforce was the other guy that needed a dimmer (I could be wrong).
A push botton kill does sound cool. No confusing which way is on, lol.

Yep, that's the one.
Go back and read my posts. I explained everything about the wiring as simple as I can.
The orange goes to a switch. The wire coming out of the switch goes to the regulator and the dimmer. The wires coming out of the dimmer go to the headlight.
