Well I just ordered some 250S tie rods for $50. Hopefully this all works out. I've got the A-arms, Shocks, and Tie-Rods, the whole package for $280. Not too terrible if you ask me.

The more I thought about extending my a-arms, the more it scared me. Plus I was thinking it would be nice to keep all my 230 parts "as is" in case something doesn't work out or maybe I could sell them sometime down the road for a few bucks.</end quote></div>

just flip your front rims and you'll gain 3-4"</end quote></div>

3 inches. That's what I did when I first got the quad. I didn't like the bump steer (among other things) so I went back to stock offset.

All you have to do is drill a new hole on the other side of the rim and install a new valve stem. Then flip the old valve stem around so its out of the way of the brake caliper.

I had remembered Randy saying that that made it bump steer bad. Plus, hopefully the new 250S shocks will make it handle better.

I'm hoping that I don't have to extend the brake lines, but I have a feeling I will need to.

I'll be sure to take lots of pictures as I'm doing it.

My cabin is in South Western Wisconsin. 1/2 hour north of Dabuque, IA close to the Mississippi, about 4 hours south of EauClaire, WI.</end quote></div>

shoot, that's just up the road from me, well about 2 hrs. i'm just outside of Cedar Rapids. your cabin near Harper's Ferry/Lansing area? we go camping at Yellow River Forest Park now & then.

Weather forcast is for 6" of snow and windy tonight. be careful out there![img][/img]</end quote></div>

Google has it at 2hours 8 min, We are about 34 miles south of Prairie du Chien, WI.

It is a lot of hills on our land, the 230 handles it well. Some spots take a lot of clutch work.

Bet you weren't doing too much riding on the 230 this weekend though, right?

Here in Winona, we got over 5" of fairly wet snow.

Atvman, when do you think your parts will arrive? Can't wait to read what you think of the "new" quad.

Did you get those lug extenders for the back?

Man this week needs to hurry past. I have three tests and bunch of new parts at home waiting to get put on! Unfortunately, the latter is consuming more of my thoughts.

Luckily, next week is spring break. They shouldn't even call it that though, it should be more like a Winter Break 2.

I'm hoping they'll all be at home by the time I am on Friday. Shocks have been there, UPS said the A-arms should be there today, and hopefully the tie rods will be there by then. He said he'd ship USPS priority (2-3 days) and I ordered them Saturday I believe.

I'm going to hold off on the spacers until the front it done and see how much wider I want the back.

You have a lot of foreign professors? I did. One was called Dr. Oh. From somewhere in Asia. I swear he inserted a handful of marbles in his mouth before he came to class because I never understood a word he said. And it was a good thing he copied the contents of the overpriced textbook onto transparencies for us because we'd never found it on our own. So, for me the class was a total waste of time. Couldn't tell ya how many speaker boxes I designed sitting there not taking notes.
