85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
I really want a new carb for mine but I am unsure of how to proceed, I can see people keep reffering to doing a kids quad search on ebay for them but not sure as far as fitting a carb different intake and/or out boots etc. Any info on what peeps have done to overcome this would be great.

Nice looking ride gforce!! Not positive, but I think this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...rdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Will bolt up to the stock boots.. The 32mm I USED to have, required a little bit of rigging to go on..
Google Sudco. They know every thing there is to know about carbs and are nice, helpfull folks...

I know that was not for me directly but thats why these forums kick-@*s right? that carb is the best I have seen without having to change your boot sizes.I am going bigger on the motor I am doing now, because of the bore and I am opening the port as well. I am going to pick one of them up for what I use now.sounds like just the thing I wanted, thanks a bunch poolgod.

If you guys are interested in knowing any of the differences between the lt250s and the lt230s, let me know. My buddy just bought a 250 and I have the 230. The 2 are really nothing alike. You would have to look pretty hard to find anything the same on them. Even the airfilter is different (I had to add a rubber gasket to make the 230 one fit the 250). The swingarm bolt is longer on the 250 (which means the frame is wider). The carb has different jets and a different slide. The a-arms are longer (and I doubt they will fit the 230 w/o cutting n welding). The whole wheelbase is longer and the rear axle is longer. The shocks are better with more travel. Basically, everything everybody on this forum is trying to do to the 230 comes stock on the 250. The only thing the 230 has up on the 250 is the fact that it is 30 lbs lighter.... 315lbs as opposed to 345lbs for the 250. Unfortunately, the one thing they do share is the CCOS, lol.

albung I thuoght you wanted front shocks. Those are both nice carbs however I do know that a flat slide has better performance but if you have put a bigger bore on a 230 I feel that the 28mm is just not enuogh even if its a flat slide. the second one is a thirty and that I feel is better if you are serios about power.overall my opinion is tht the carb that poolgod put a link to is the best. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...rdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW godd luck with whatever you are going to do.
