I found a 1987 quadzilla in my local paper for 1800 bucks and i was wondering what the pro's and con's were for this year?thanks

I heard the smaller head studs on the 87's have been known to cause problems. but this can be easily fixed with bigger studs. The 87 has a diferent size/shape intake than 88 and up. it is the fastest year i believe. But if it isnt trashed and runs good 1800 is a good price

A true 87 motor has 6 bolts on the head and a 88 up has 7 bolts on the head But if you take the top motor mount off it wont blow head gaskets I have ran a 87 for 9 years like this it works just fine And the 87 is the fastest year made
