Default King Owners: Any Problems Towing Heavy?

Any KingQuad owners had problems towing heavy objects because of the lag? I can't seem to convince this guy on another thread that the lag has absolutely no affect on towing and mudding power...

I have pulled a Ford 9N Tractor with a low tire (practically flat) and have pull 12" to 16" dia. green logs that were 10' to 12' long. My machine has not failed me yet.
It does everything I want it to and more. It's not heavy enough to really pull super heavy stuff, but it'll pull it's fair share.
I have out pulled my neighbor's Brute 650 with no problem and smoked him in a drag race on pavement.
Alot has to do with the operator as well. Back when I Road Raced SCCA, my buddy could turn a better lap time than I could in "my car"!

I've pulled out a AC 650 with large mud meats. We were at Deepwater, MO. The rider was a large man, at least 350lbs, stuck in at least 2 feet of think mud. He was trying to cross a creek and got stuck coming up the bank. I pulled him out with no problem after two other Honda Foremans together failed. I kept telling them to get off to lighten it up. He ignored me and then I had to pull his fat @$$ out! The worse part, he didn't even say thank you, although his son did. This has been my heaviest pull/tow so far!

last weekned I pulled a Chevy 2 wd 1/2 ton towing a double snowmobile trailer and two snow machines with the big dumbass that drove off the hardpacked snow out of about 1 ft of loose snow, that was over about 3 ft of hard packed snow.... he was stuck up to the frame, my son (18 yrs , 180 lbs) was on the back of the KQ....I put it in low, 4wd, locked the front diff and walked him out without too much effort....had to tow him about 100 ft to get to solid ground....what an assh---......just drove off without a thankyou........same day I tried to pull a Toyota pick-up with 33 inch mud terrains and a big body lift and spring lift out of about 4 feet of snow.......(drove into the snow filled ditch cause he thought he could make it),....anyway I ran out of traction, not power, I just dug 4 holes straight down spinning the tires....toooooooooooo frigging heavy (the Toyota stuck like that)...it took a Ford 4x4 diesel with HUGE tires and a looooooooong recovery strap to pull him out....it was like a cork coming out of a bottle...he just had to move about 4 feet to get out of the deep hole and then he could drive out..................problems pulling with the King...not...(at least in my limited experiance)....I'd love to hear other stories as well.....

I got to play around on a KQ this afternoon and towed a pretty good load of frozen logs out of the timber and didn't notice any problem with the lag in regards to towing. The lag is a little annoying at times but doesn't have any sort of an effect on anything. Just an annoyance not a performance issue. BTW the smoking issue on this particular KQ is getting really bad especially now that it is getting colder outside. Stealer is supposedly checking into the issue. Soon as it is repaired it is going bye bye. Owner has had it with Suzuki.

the way I understand the ecm there are 2 maps load and no load
no load has the so called lag
load has no lag
so if this is correct the lag has no effect on any thing other than takeoff from a dead stop with out a load
I guess they do it to keep light guys like me from ending up on their back with 602 lbs on top of them

My dad and I have 2005 king quads we have had no problems towing heavy things. I tow my 18 foot boat around all the time works just fine. The only time the lag is a problem is when riding on two wheels. Any one heard of engines blowing due to air filter problems.
