alright guys, I just remembered I had the head machined 0,025" over on my vinson a few months ago, if that helps to the topic, it added a few lb/feet of torque, I now have 23,5 lb/feet of torque. It sure boosts the performance a bit. My next probable upgrade is a clutch kit and switch to syntetic oil. What do you recommend ? ipone ? mobil? asking just in case...

Well Guys,
Just got my HMF Utility In and literally just ordered a Diamond G Racing Snorkel for it. I will pick up a K&N filter for it here locally. I can't wait to see if these mods makes a difference.

I live in Central Louisiana which is pretty low altitude. Any suggestions on jetting with these mods?

P.S. Finally got it to wheelie in low range and on the asphalt (By Yanking on the bars). It wasn't spectacular but It came up for a little piece.

the easiest way to get an automatic quad to pull the front tires up is to stand up on the pegs and floor it. As the clutch grabs and the quad takes off let your body be sat down hard on the back of the seat. This lets the weight of your body plus its momentum set the rear tires just as the clutch is really locking up and the motor is getting into some power. it will work on my freinds eiger so it should deffinatly work on a vinson. You should have got the manual, all iv got to do is grab second gear hard.

Moto, I would start with the clip in the third notch from the top, dj128-138 main, and buy a Keihin #38 pilot. The Dynojet kits biggest main is 128 so you will have to order the bigger jets. I am running a #138 DJ main which is the same as a Keihin 152. The only difference is I have the Webcam. I also live way down south at sea level.

Hey Guys,
Yep, I know now that I should have bought the maunal. Spilled milk I guess.

Thanks for the jetting and wheelie tips. I will try them.

**Also, I am having some problems with the speedometer on my Vinny. I works when you first crank
it but then it stops registering speed after a while. The display works but it just shows 0mph. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Thanks

Hey Camo/Anybody,
I just pulled the carb apart over the weekend to find this thing has some kind of weird CVK carb. It has a 35 pilot and a 128 Main. I would like to stay with stock Kehin jets but they are proving to be hard to find. Was it on this forum that somebody said to go to a Harley shop to get them?

Also, somebody somewhere said something about shortening the throttle slide spring to make it rev quicker since this thing works off of vaccume or something. Is this true?

Puh-lease help..

Thanks

dont know anything about the jets, and i dont think that shortening the spring would do anything for you, exept for maybe lightening the throttle lever a bit. the only vacume on the carb is that sucking the air and fuel into the motor, nothing operating the throtle position or anything.

On normal carbs on dirt bikes like I'm used to the throttle moves the slide up and down letting more or less fuel in. ON a CVK the throttle opens and closes some type of butterfly valve in the intake end of the carb that looks like a choke. I'm guessing the more air it let's in the additional vaccume pulls the throttle slide up which rev's the engine. And I'm assuming this is spring loaded which causes the resistance. If you clip the spring it would have less resistance and should rev out faster. Thing is it would be bad to cut it too short.

Does anybody know anything about this? I'm speculating here....

Thanks
