help with stage 1 or 2 hot cams

any info on the diff. on stage 1 or the stage 2 cams why the diffrence and what kind of riding would each stage be good for. Thinking on a 440 kit in the future. the fact my valves need to be adjusted anyway I thought putting in cams since we got to go in anyway. A little light on the subject would help......Stage 1 stage 2 HELP..... Thanks

the stage 1 cam gives you an increase of bottom and middle power, its great for any type of riding, if you buy a stage 2, you will need to buy aftermarket springs, a hot rod connecting rod and crankshaft, if you dont you most liekly end up with a broken crankcase the stage 2 gives you awsome upper strength power

stage 1 cam is only the intake cam and stage 2 is both. and I would have new valve springs installed. ported and polished with the 440 kit
you dont need hot rod cranks and rods for a 440 kit unless your using fuel stronger than gas
I ran mine for 2 years with out a problem.stage 2 will give you lots of power on the top end
and it depends on what compression you want to run and you will have to check your jetting with cams
you will like the difference

id go ahead and buy the stage 2, i didnt change my springs. i have a set of kibble white valve springs , a atv shop told me i really didnt need them unless i was running a big bore or something like mucky's set up. i'll probably throw them in next time i have her opened up.

mucky what crank is in yours now???
