Great write up. Sounds exactly like my experiences w/ the LTR. It's always nice to see someone else around here with a non-bias opinion.
As for the Dyna, you can use reverse all you want! I've had my Dyna since Dec. 2004 and have had zero problems with reverse. I have never heard of this complaint prior to this thread, and I'm sure I would have by now if this was an ongoing problem.
(^^I say that b/c I have been an active member of an all "Z400" forum for over 3 years now)

Thanks guys for the feedback.
Regarding the reverse issue with the CDI box's, I spoke to my buddy that was having the problems and found he was using the SRP ign system he bought off of magic racing for around $100 last year. I'm thinking since that specific CDI was a low end box that's where the problem was at. There lay's the term "you pay for what you get" I guess.... I'm glad to hear from others that have the dyna system as I do that there has been no problems (wheeewww).
bulldogz - I was just in Vegas last weekend for the Laughlin river run on my Harley. I took my moho with trailer in tow and stayed at the KOA behind Circus Circus. I almost took my quads with me because there was this kid in AZ that has been going on and on about him NEVER loosing on his 06 450R (see King Of All under thread under ATC Racing in this forum).... I called him out last Thursday and he never responded so I left my quads at home.... I will be back in Vegas 9/14-17 for Vegas Bike Week. Any good places to ride out there??? I may be willing to take the quads this time for some friendly riding. Any places to ride out by Boulder City?
kawiking - the 06 YFZ is way faster over the 05 YFZ stock. But, b-4 you buy one, do yourself favor and ride an LTR with the mods I've listed I've done on mine ($40 total on top of the price of the quad). Then make your decision...
At todays flat track races in town... it took 3 laps for a 05 450r with 5k+/- in motor work from K&K & ESR to finally pass a stock LTR with only a CB. And the pass was made on turn 1 when everone else down shifted coming off the straightaway ... the 450r came in really hot and earned the pass IMOP.... as I said b-4. you can have all the $$$ in the world in the motor but it still comes down to riders skill(ballz in this case) on the track.... the guy on the 450r won the open expert series class last season....
