05 ltz400 using excessive coolant
#1
I went riding at coal creek this past weekend after i had my z serviced, they put the clutch cover recall on. It now seems i went from low to almost no coolant in about 5 hours riding time anyone know why this is happening? the coolant light never came on and it is operationsl so i dont think i overheated anyone help me???

It's possible that the coolant never actually circulated into the motor until you rode it enough to warm it up. (the motor has to heat up to open the thermostat)
I would add more coolant to top it off and get it back up to operating temperature and see if you lose any more. For added security you could change the oil again and see if any coolant has seeped into the oil.

check your oil. if it looks like chocolate milk take it back , but like black kawi said they might not had enough coolant in it to start with.
I had that problem after I did my 470 and it was the head gasket wasnt sealing right
I also ran a can of block sealer in mine for about 15 mins then drained it and let it set for 24 hrs to dry then filled it with new coolant and havent had a problem since
