Default Thoughts On K&N Filters; Powerlid for Z-400

I was just wondering any comments on the K&N products for a 04 Z-400? Worth It? Also if I get a K&N will I have to rejet (I have a full Yoshimura system) and where I ride can get pretty dusty. Will it be alright w/o an airbox lid?

Sparks (and I'm sure others) make a nice foam filter that goes over the K&N.
It seems to be a very good idea!

ya you will hav to rejet (should hav rejetted when ya put that full system on)

Not sure on the foam filter. I dont like them to much messin around with them...

If you are thinkin of runnin with out a lid you just need a ....Pre Filter

Or a Power lid

I like the EHS... ez clean up, ez on & off.. I hav 2 of them so if it is dusty or what ever I can switch them out & keep riden

You can also make your own EHS type box cover, cut it out with dremel, cut old outerwears punch holes in outerwears with paper punch. Cut some thin strips of aluminmum, drill holes in aluminmum and box lid to match. The assemble with stainless screws, nuts and washers. It only cost me about $4.00 to make, but I already had the outerwears.
