1988 250 susuki
 

I just got an offer to buy a 1988 susuki 250 sport but don't really know much about them. All I know is it is a four stroke sport with white plastic and a blue seat. I thought it might be a two stroke racer but he says it is a four stroke. I ride utility atv's but am looking for a quad for my kid. Anyonw have any links or info about this quad? It looks brand new and I can get it cheap but need to know what it is worth, or what it is. I tried to go to the Susuki web site but can't find any history.

1988: they sell between $800 - $1400 here in Tennessee... the price might be different in other states...

thanks for the info. when I go on a parts web site it dosn't show a 88 250 that is a four stroke so I was kinda wondering if he is right on his info.

quadsport 250's(LT250S) were white and blue, made in 1989-1990. What kinda shape is it in?? how much does he want for it?? where is it for sale at?? i got a 1989 lt250s and i am just getting it back tommorow (i just got the engine all rebuilt) they go for about 1500-2500$ canadian around here. They are awesome trail bikes, kick start so you dont gotta worry about the battery being dead because there isnt one, its really light and theres reverse! if you need any info just pm me or email me @ motocross451@hotmail.com

I haven't seen it yet. It's my uncles and I remember looking at it in his shop a couple of years ago and he had it covered and it looked brand new. He bought it ten years ago and never really rode it that much, he though about 20 hours tops. He just brought it up to me since I was looking for a quad for my kid. I think I can get it for around $700, cause of my kid so I think it will be a good buy but was worried if it would be too much for my kid. I thought it had a manual clutch but now freinds are telling they think it is a auto clutch, which would make it better for my kid. I found a Kawasaki bayou for sale that it really nice and thought about trading for it if I bought the 250 but that isn't good family. Any info you think I might need would be great. thanks

it has a manual clutch, how olds your kid?? and how big is he?? i was ripping around on mine this afternoon and its a fun bike. Mine just go all rebuilt so it runs like a charm. I think its better to start your kid off with a clutch because he/she will know how to ride a clutch, they'll learn early and be really good when they get older.
