Default cracked crank case kq

was riding my new king quad 450 today went over a log, and it hti. was only going maybe 3 miles an hr but it hit hard and went through the plastic skid plate and made a 3 inch hole in the crank case. i guess its right next to the oil plug, i was lucky to get the machine back before it all leaked out. but how much does it typically cost to repair something in this nature.

I would guess at least $1500.00. The stealership said it would have cost me $1600.00 to replace my front differential if it wasn't covered under warranty. That is gonna be a big job to replace the crankcase.

That sucks man. Sorry to hear that I just put ona set of proarmor skid plates on my 700kq. I had a 700 sportsman and it had a steel skid from the factory, but the plastic p.o.s. from suzuki is worhtless why the dont put somthing better on there is a mystery. I think I would try and lean on suzuki a little and try to get some help from them on this try to get ahold of your area rep for suzuki and bend his ear gently at first then if that doesnt work maybe give it twist or two. I would think they could atleast give you a discount on the parts and labor best of luck to you.
