Why are the old lt230's known for losing spark?
 

i have a 85 lt230s.. i bought it without spark.. i got a CDi unit and thne that blew up?... i dont wanna keep buying parts and haven them blow.. Should i just renew the whole elcetrical system????

cdi boxed are supposed to be a problem but i have 3 boxes and all work???? Did u get it to run?Ever? i suggest buying a book can get online 4 25.00 and is priceless when ur having problems I do know that sometimes kill switch is a problem but its one wire and it runs unplugged black w yellow stripe i cant scan the wiring its got too many fingerprints in my book and aint readable when scanned but i can tell u how to do tests in book!!!!!! my only problem was a keyway holding the flywheel in position to fire at correct time

when i bought it it had no spark.. i bought a cdi box of y buddies old 230.. i hooked it up and kicked it a few times and it ran like a champ for about 2 minutes.. and then i lost spark.. i dont have a repair manual and need to get one asap..do u have any ideas on what i could possibly do before i spend a ton of money on it... but then iwas thinkin ther eis that chance that the cdi box was on its last leg when i bought it... thanx man for any info!! what state do u live in??

try checkin for bare wires grounding out and connection at plug boot i have three cdi boxes and i know thier all good had em all on my quad and one is brand new we could probably work something out but u do not need credit card to buy off ebay only need to sell! it takes much less time with a credit card but can do money orders on there also ! I know theres not much too 230 wiring and is plug in and go id check wires maybe movem around and see if ur spark comes back

it wont let me register unless i have a credit card number wich i dont have.. how much would u want for 2 cdi box's?? and or the coil...... realy wouldnt be much different then ebay if yea think about it... tell me whatcha think...
