07 King Quad 700 for $6100 or 450 for $5600

700. Look at it this way, the 450 has the frame and suspension of the 700, but 1/2 the engine. A month from now you'll be kicking yourself for buying the 450, especially after all your ATV friends tease you mercilessly for buying a 'kiddie quad', when they find out you could have gotten the 'real deal' 700 for just 500 bucks more.
How much is holding your head high without shame worth?. Spend the money, the 700 is a GREAT quad. You won't regret it. Surf on over to Nyrocatv.com. Check out their King Quad forum. Lots of good info there. The Tech Tips are a gold mine. And they worship their 'kings'.
No matter which one you buy, throw the paper air filter away, its trash. It will KILL the engine by letting dirt in. Put a TwinAir or Uni on it ASAP.
Enjoy your new toy, wear a helmet, and be safe.

hey hefty lefty. i just took a look at the twinair filter because i have a kq700 with a stock filter...is this a joke or does the twinair really cost $80? Most filters i have seen are around 20-30$

I had the same decision and went wiith the 700. HeftyLefty is right...same frame but much more power. First thing I got was the UNI air filter thanks to many who post on here.

Bvensko, the $80.00 is a one time expense for the whole kit. The filter can be cleaned, reoiled, and reused by buying a cleaning kit for $27.99 which will clean and re oil the filter many times. Or you can buy a pre oiled replacement filter for $28.99, handy for mud work or long dusty rides.
I would also buy a tube of filter grease to make sure the filter seals tight to intake throat.
Expensive?. yeah. But a lot less than an engine rebuild on your dime after Suzuki denies your claim for engine damage. Which they have done.

if your concidering the 450 for $5600..........look into the Vinny 500...........with the 07's being the last year, there are some killer deals on them right now. i talked a dealer down to $5100 when i bought my wifes vinny! and i purchased mine for $5300 with the 3 year warranty (at the time it seamed like a good deal). now some dealers are listing them for around $5000 while suplies last.
i've driven both the 450 and the 700 KQ's! not bad bikes at all. i traded my buddy his 700 for my 500 for a little bit riding, and it is a great bike, rides asome, but just lacked the pep the vinny's got! the 450 follows the 700 with comfort and handling, but REALLY lacks the pep of the vinny.
although the new EFI is easier to mod (no jetting required), and they have CDI boxes to compensate for the low end lag on both bikes. both are great bikes (i think), but i'm much happier with my vinny.

No question
250cc is worth $500 and you'll be satisfied with your quad for much longer.

thats a great deal for either one compared to what price they wanted to sell the 450 to me for only 300 off retail. i would also go for the more power for 500.

Hi everyone..i just bought my first atv. I decided on the king quad 450 . found a dealer who doesnt try ripping people off. I paid 5199.00 out the door just had to pay sales tax on top of that price.
Be careful many dealers want to slip doc fees freight and set up fees.
ask about their fees you dont have to pay those idiot fees if you find a good dealer.
really happy with my kq 450 awesome machine.
