"timing belts" umm you must have a differant model no belts in a 03/04 Z..
Also the fan has had a few problems the hose the stocker has runs upwards not down & it tends to hold a bit of water. rust & failer is know to happen....

"It's ironic that some ranch dressings contain unexpected sugar, but a bag of sugar never contains unexpected ranch dressing."
That's kinda funny....
Yeah the timing "chain" stretches on the 03, keep your ear out for that.

Cam chain could be an issue, I had intentions of changing mine out until I realized I would have to get into the crankcase to undo the cam chain guide to get to it. Screw that!!!! I think I will wait until it breaks , then mess with it. Its too cold in my garage right now. I would go ahead and do a valve job. Just make sure you lap the valves!!!
Heres your cam chain # if you decide to get the bike. D.I.D makes the cam chain

I don't think that's a good idea to wait till it breaks. If one of the valves is open when it lets go, won't the piston crush it? Could be alot of $$$ in the long run.

No, I don't think so. The piston doesn't travel that high.

Hmmm, now I'm really thinking about that. I pretty sure with the motor @ TDC the valves won't hit if the cam chain went south. Ill investigate next week when I do my valve adjustment. Maybe somebody could chime in that for sure knows.
Warrior226 , good action bro. Had me really thinking!!!
