Question On King Quad

I am considering buying an 08 King Quad 750. When I test rode one today, I really liked it except for one thing.

On the asphalt when I was going along slow 10 to 15 MPH, then gently accelerate, there was a vibration of some sort that seemed to be generating from the Drive belt. Is this a common thing with the clutch on these, and if so is it fixable?

First off these machines are not designed for ashphalt driving, the design of the tires is for off road riding and you will get a lot of noise and vibration when on Ashphalt - the faster you go the more noise and vibration...

There is no problem with the drive train on the KQ series that I know of and the V belt is a very reliable - BTW ... there isn't a clutch ...

Question On King Quad

I know they're not for asphalt. Just felt to me like a little belt hop going on maybe because the clutch didn't down shift fast enough, then when you accelerate, it's trying to shift down quickly. I think maybe a small clutch mod with weight and springs will cure it. Thet do have a CVT with a belt which is basically a snowmobile type clutch.
