Hi, i am looking into getting an lt250r and was wondering if they came with key switches stock?

my '91 came with one on it, it's basically a keyed kill switch, & bolt on top of the bar mounts.

i have removed it in favor of a tether kill switch.

on mine there is a little switch that u move up or down for either on or off.

I was wondering if anybody knows if the 92 has one or not????

yes, a '92 should have one in stock form, it's a black box in the middle of the bar clamps.
however, if you're looking at it for a security device, they are VERY easily removed and/or defeated(a pair of wire cutters is all you need.)

My girlfriend has a '92 LT250R with a kill switch on the handlebars. I did'nt like that so I bought a key switch from an auto parts store.

To install it I cut the wires off from the engine stop switch and connected them onto the key switch (remember which is pos. and neg.).

To make a clean installation I cut a hole in the hood (on the side) and mounted it there.
Looks really custom and works great.:)
