2003 LTZ 400 Chain Adjustment

Can anyone tell me how to do this? It did not come with a manual, and this is aggravating the crap out of me. If not, can someone supply me a link on how to do it?

first, loosen the bolts on the top of the swingarm. next, there is a bolt of the back of the swingarm. this is your adjustment bolt. turn it in until the chain is where you want it, and then tighten the bolts you loosened. be careful, it is very easy to snap the bolts, so be careful when tightening!

Ok, the four bolts on the top are loosened. They were all the way to the most REARWARD position of the four slots. Also, mine has two bolts on the back.

Its a none adjustable cam chain tensioner. You have two options. Replace the cam chain or install a manual cam chain tensioner. The z400central forum has pics on how to make your stocker into a manual(MCCT). Heres one for a Hayabusa that will work. Other places have them cheaper.
