Oh God, I've got an idea!

Alright, well, its bore and ring time for my 230, and I was thinking about the topend in general. And I've come to the conclusion that I really wish it had a 4 valve head. But that was a while ago, and just a few minutes ago I went looking into LT250S cylinders on ebay figuring that I could do a crazy bore and satisfy my power desire that way. Well, I think I've gotten myself into a little more than I bargained for; a DR250 head and cylinder. Its 4 valve, 250, and MIGHT fit the 230 bottomend.

But, theres still some things I gotta know, such as stroke, and base bolt pattern. They LOOK similar, and I know Suzuki likes to keep some things fairly congruent throughout thier quad and bike lines, but idk.

Heres some fiche:

So, tell me what yall think.

Just get a 260 kit for $350.

lt230sman Apr 11, 2009 04:59 PM

from fst, right?

what do i get in the "kit"? a sleve, piston, rings, and a topend gasket set?

do you think it would be cheaper to get the parts seperatley?

JustRandy Apr 11, 2009 05:12 PM

Kustom Kraft. You get a sleeve installed, piston, rings, and head gasket.

im gonna go look into that, thanks alot man

lt230sman Apr 11, 2009 05:24 PM

yeah man that sounds real good to me!

how much of a power increase do you think i will notice? (i also have a dg rcm pipe and a 30mm mikuni vm roundslide carb).

JustRandy Apr 11, 2009 05:29 PM

I'm not sure. Probably a decent power increase.
