yosh rs-3 for my z400
 

I just ordered the yoshimura rs-3 full exhuast for my 2003 z400. What is the best intake and jetting setup for around sea level. I like the k$n filter but do i use my airbox lid ..Thanks Brian

this might help. Installed an alba pipe velocity air filter friends ltz 400 bought dyno jet kit. open air box with air filter cover. pilot jet 25, main jet 155, switched out stock needle for new set clip on third notch(new needle). you got yourself a great pipe there get a good aftermarket filter and open it up. I purchased a rs3 ti full yoshi for my 450r

here ya go for opening up the intake. as we all know how bad the stock filter is. you can go to auto zone and get one of these.

get a 3" clamp on filter. your choice. remove air box and install plate. it will go right over the ridge that the stock filter went. drill four bolt holes. when placing the plate on to be bolted up. put rtv gasket maker to seal the plate to the stock box. bolt it up. put it back on the quad. put the 3" clamp on filter on and go. no need for the lid. works great. depending on jeting the alba jet kit works great.
