The new Suzuki Sport quad info!!!!!!!!

How's about some cool heads people!!!
1) The original post was only preliminary information gotten from a dealer. It's nothing that can even be argued about since the quad doesn't exist yet.
2) Before derogatory comments are made about how a person rides, maybe time should be taken to see where that person is from. The terrain could be much different in Arkansas then it is in Tennessee or anywhere else for that matter.
3) A little politeness and respect would go a long way in this forum

Wow!! I never thought I'd reply to my own topic, but anyway maybe Suzuki isn't even giving the real info. Maybe they want us to believe it's a 450, just like we all thought the Raptore would have the YZ 426 motor in it, and shocked us w/ the 660cc motor. I think it will be what they said. There is a quad coming. There is no doubt about that!!! Reverse will just make it more rider friendly. Ever try to pick up a back of a Raptor? I have, cause I have one and unless your over 5'10'' it is nearly mpossible because the grab bar is so high.

Come on bermbanger, you can't be serious! I've ridden the tight woods of northern Wisconsin and I did it with guys on dirtbikes and i've never needed reverse. What do you do that you would need reverse? GNCC racers go much faster than you in very tight woods and none of them have reverse, that is just very lazy.Nothin personal, but an atv with reverse will not be meant for high performance. Also chances are it will be a 400 not a 450, there will be an LTa400 which using the powers of deduction tends to show it will be a sport utility version of the LT400 sport quad, both with the DRZ motor. What reason did Yamaha have for putting the 660 motor in the Raptor instead of the YZ426? The 426 weighs less and produces more HP.It is because they didn't want to make a RACE quad that people would not want beacuse it didn't have reverse and electric start and the "hit" of the 426 might tire out the poor atver who was so worn out from all that"lifting" they had to do without reverse.Sadly this is where the atv market is, god I miss the die hard 80's!
