I have a z400 full exhaust, air box vents, K&N air filter, and jetted and i want to know if it would beat a stock 500 polaris scrambler cause my dad is getting ready to buy one.

 

should be NO problem

 

tough to say cuz the scrambler is a two stroke with a cvt tranny, but it weighs more. Youll have to let us know

 

My friend and I ride together all the time and he has a ltz400 and I have a scrambler.

me on my scrambler is bordering on 800 pounds
My friend on his z400 is less then 500

That and my scrambler isnt jetted/clutched for the altitude yet.

If it were I think i could keep up with him a bit easier but all in all I think the z400 would leave me in the dust if we truly raced.

But im ok with that because i wasnt looking for an all out racer, someone needs to be around to pull out the 2x4's

 

i thougt that the 500 scramblers were 4 stroke not 2 stroke but thanks guys i figured i could beat him

 

The 400's are 2 stroke and the 500's are 4 stroke.

 

I own a 2004 stock Scrambler (yes it is 4 stroke) and I own a 2006 stock suzuki z400.

My son and I ride all the time and the suzuki takes the scrambler with no problem.

I plan on adding a pipe and jet kit to the suzuki. I am sure the 400 will smoke the scrambler even more once I do that.
