1986 LTF230 I need help
 

:confused:It is very hard to start,once I get it started I have to keep it 1/3 throttle and it spits & sputters & backfires for about 7 minutes then it runs perfect.
I can shut it down for a 1/2 hour and it will start and run fine, if I wait 45 minutes it spits & sputters & backfires for another 7 minutes, then it runs great again.

It has been doing this for at least 7 months. New plug,oil,oil filter, gas clean air filter. Nothing changes this. This plug & the old one are in great shape.

This 230 ran great for a year and when it runs nor it runes as well as before. It seems like when the oil is hot it runs good???

If you have any advice I would be happy.:confused:

I have the same machine. And had the same problems. I cleaned my carb out real well and it runs great. Did your 230 sit for a wile before you started having trouble with it?
