Lots of fuel in oil and air filter casing!!
I was hoping that someone could help me with my dilema. I recently acquired two Suzuki 230 el's and after a few trips one would not stay running. I would only run if I held the throttle a bit.
I then drained the oil and seen that it was like water.. turns out it was close to half fuel. You could smell it big time.
Looking in the casing where the air filter is housed it is also full in the low spots with fuel.
I notice as well that it is wet around the carb.
I currently have it apart as far as the piston. I do not notice anything too out of the ordinary. It may have a ring issue because some oil is left on the cylinder wall after a complete stroke. But I am not very experienced with small engines.
Any help is very helpful. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Nine times out of ten, grit in the needle seat. Often turning tap off, letting bike run until float chamber is empty, then tuning tap on, will flush the grit out. If that doesn't work I take the needle out and clean both seat and needle tip. Also checking the tiny plunger at the other end of the needle is springing out if you pres it in. If it isn't, fit a new needle. If the problem persists with a new needle, you may have a lot of grit in the tank, and need to clean it out.
