I got a 2000 king quad 300 4x4, 1,400 miles for $200. Was told it runs (it has been sitting a couple years) but has the following issues:

1. Was told the atv locks up when put into "hi" gear. Right now the shifter won't even go into hi gear. Was told it moves and shifts just fine in lo gear.

2. Both rear wheels have a ton of play (1/2") when you push on the sidewall.


This is my first Suzuki, I'm very used to working on Polaris atv's with CVT clutches and chain drive, this one piece engine clutch is new to me. I'm trying to determine if I should fix this machine or part it out. Currently I'm going through the carb until I get some direction on the above issues.

Any suggestions on the above issues? Is there anywhere on the net I can buy a pdf version of the repair manual?

Clymers is a pretty good one and there on ebay for 20-30 dollars
