06 ltz 400 won't turn!!! HELP!!! PLEASE!!!
 

Tried starting my 06 LTZ400 the other day and it wouldn't turn the lights will go on though but they were a little dim. So I charged the battery and tried starting it, again it wouldn't turn but the lights shine bright now. I'm wondering if its the cranking amps in the battery? Not too sure what's goin on, can somebody help me please. :confused: :mad:

So...have you checked the voltage of the battery? Should be reading 12.7 or above.

What type noise does the machine make when trying to start? Clicking? Or nothing?

If you have the lights on when to trying to start...do the lights dim a lot?

If you hear the solenoid click it could be a liquid locked motor. When fuel leaks into the cylinder and the piston begins to compress and valves are shut the motor locks up. The leaking is from a bad float valve and/or petcock allowing gas to flow.

Try pulling the plug and place a rag to catch the fuel, then bump it over. Reinstall the plug and try again.
