Default 2006 400 Suzuki Eigher.

I'm a new member. Have a question to ask. I found a 2006 Suzuki Either for sale for 700.00. He said it run but didn't take gas. With,no engine noise. Now he says that he checked the plug wire and it feel apart. Could be that simple to fix, but could have alot,of other roblems. Can I take a regular car plug wire and thread it into the coil to see if it does run. Don't know much about them. Its 2 hours away from me. You think,it I can get it for under 700.00 that it would be worth taking a chance on. Thank you ang Gods blessings to all.

The plug wire is moulded into the coil so you can't just fit a new one, they don't "fall apart" so if it is just the cap come off the lead, it can be screwed back in, or a new, car type, cap fitted. The coil is bad to get to anyway, requiring removal of the fuel tank to get at it.

$700 is not a lot of money for that bike. I'd probably take a chance. I bought a 2002 Arctic Cat with the same motor for $1,400 and it has been awesome. Shouldn't take a lot to get it running. I see similar AC's and Eigers selling for $2,000- $2,500.
