2017 Kingquad 500 axi

So i posted in the general chat discussion about how I am down to 3 quads that I am looking at and of course everyone has their own opinion and depending on who you talk to they think some brands are worse than others so I still have no solid direction on which way to go so I decided that I wanted to take this directly to the Suzuki board. I have a deposit on a 2017 KQ500Axi non power steering which is refundable but I need to act before the week is out or they are going to refund me the deposit. I know the main gripe about this machine is that the steering feedback is horrible on the non PS models. Now the reason for me buying a quad is for yard work and plowing my driveway mainly but that isn't to say in the future I might want to take it on a trail ride up in the Tug Hill plateau region of NY. Anyway, here is the deal that I got for this machine and I think it is good but I don't like the $149 documentation fee. Do all dealers charge a documentation fee? This dealer is saying that I am lucky because most dealers charge $200-$300 for a doc fee but from the other dealers I have been quoted do not have this charge. Anyway tell me what you think of the numbers below and if you own a KQ500 let me know of your gripes. Thanks!

ATV Price- $5855.00
NJ Tax- $402.53
DMV and Title- $125.00
Doc. Fees- $149.00

Total = $6531.53

Again this is for a new 2017 KQ500 non PS

Good price. All charge the doc fees and that is about the right price, at least down here in Texas. If you can get the 750 King quad non-power steering, I would go for that. I've had mine since 2009 and never a single issue. But having that extra HP helps when doing chores. Good luck!

Those fees are pretty typical. Not a bad price, sounds pretty close to what it would cost here. King quad 500 is a solid machine. I remember when Suzuki discontinued the Vinson 500 and replaced it with the King Quad 450. People wanted that extra power the bigger 500cc engine had and they brought it back.

The steering problem was Suzuki's choice of tyre. They now come with Carsliles, but I haven't tried a 500 with them on. Wider tyres seem better, many of our customers use Executioners and like them. The 500 would be the best quad on the market if the frame was stronger, Suzuki could fix it easily, but don't. The 750 has a very high tech engine and heavier fuel consumption, the 500 has all the power you need.

Yes, everyone has an opinion. Mine is find a leftover 500 with power steering. I purchased one brand new for $5999, that's with power steering.

Now that is a deal there, power steering is usually about a $1000 option.
