85 lt250r new top end rebuild

I cant get it to kick start. I can pull it for a min then it runs if it dies long as i kick it within 5 mins it will kick... Help me out im scared to get out of the yard.

Compression test

i would do a compression test. Do the carburetor basics with a good cleaning. Sounds to me a top end job will help out tremendously. Clean carb, check reeds also
