How many errors have you found in the manual?

According to my manual, my machine is a 4x4. sweet!

Is 87 really the correct octane (for those of us near sea level)

kentuckycat Jul 16, 2002 06:16 PM

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I didn't find anything else, though. I've always used 87 in all my atv's. I've never had a problem with it.

They don't specify what coolant to use.

so I should use 87 in my Z400?

*hmm*

I buy premium for my Z. It doesn't cost that much to fill it up so why skimp on the gas. Its only a 2.6 gallon tank!

Corpsie Jul 17, 2002 05:13 PM

it's not skimping if the engine doesn't require it.

With car engines, running too high of an octane can cause problems in the long run

bbertram Jul 17, 2002 05:23 PM

Some people have experienced pinging with their Z's in hot weather. Premium will not hurt the Z in anyway, infact it might give it more power, not noticable, but more power. So why not? Your guaranteed not to get pinging and it just might give you some extra power.
