i have the King Quad and im having trouble with the rear brakes when driving in the mud. The mud gets through the seal on the outer drum which has been covered with grease and i loose my rear brakes. anyone have any ideas how to fix it or convert it to disc brakes. Or have any ideas on custom seals and where to get facotry OEM seals and hubs at a cheap price. thanks

I had the same problem as do many others. You could try new seals, may or may not help. There is also a drain plug on the bottom of the brakes on some models, my dealer suggested pulling it and spraying brake cleaner into the rear brake assembly after each ride.
I finally fixed mine by getting a new bike. Jaybee |
Well it would suck to hook up discs on it. I have never had any problems, but out in California there isn't real deep mud anyway. There really is no cure for drums, but you might modify discs from a wrecked bike or something like that. They do it with trucks.
