Zilla Carb questions????

I have a trinity stage 4 motor right now in my zilla, its got the 44mm roundslide mikuni carb right now. Now i am gettin my extra cylinder resleeved and was planing on running that until I get the Stage 4 resleeved aswell. Will the 44mm carb be too much fuel flow for a stock cylinder, 87 so it has the big intake, with reeds, K&N and a FMF pipe? If so, how about if i had some stage 2 mild porting done to it? Thanks

Zilla Carb questions????

44 is pretty big. I thought trinity put a 39.5 on the stage 4. The 44 was put on for drag racing I think.

Zilla Carb questions????

I wouldn't think the 44 would be too big just because of the bore size. On an 87 big reed cylinder it should handle it, you might notice a dropoff in lowend power but the top end would be really good.

Zilla Carb questions????

Thats what I was thinking, I am gonna try it with the stock cylinder once I get it done. Might have a local company port the second one to a stage 2 though. As for zilladaddy, comon, don't we have enuf hassle from these "fast" banshee guys, were the few, the proud, the Zilla owners!!!!! I know you prefer Vito, but Trinity did do a h@ll of a job on my zilla and would suggest them to anyone. SO for now, lets all just enjoy our time as king of the hill.

Zilla Carb questions????

I'm not sure if they can stroke the zilla motor. I assume they could somehow, all that would realy be needed is a longer crank and then just add that much into a spacer plate. Not sure why anyone would want more bottom end on a zilla though. What, is someone wanting to climb sand mountain idleing? lol

Zilla Carb questions????

LoL Sand mountain idleing,I did however talk to a gentleman at Mac racing and he did tell me of either it was a 600 or a 650 kit for the Zilla using a piston out of a KTM motor I don't remember if he said that it had to be stroked to achieve the cc displacement, but I am going to find out,The most I've had my Zilla was a 550 kit,but the cylinder cracked on bothside's while making a Quarter mile run on alky, lucky and I mean lucky for me I did not grenade the motor, still have the piston and it's in good shape. As far as the question about what carb to use it's hard to tell anyone what they should ,I've went through so many, all I can say is this for trail riding or Mx racing FTZ racing has a real good 41mm flatslide smoothbore carb set up by sudco and the throttle responce was great, from idle to full throttle the RPM was there with no hesitation.
