I know some 250rs that a Z-400 no matter how much you put into it and how many mods you do will never catch. Sorry, it's just a fact. Z-400s are not monster drag quads. They are awesome machines though and pretty quick. They have a great feel to them and are a big improvement over the time tested 400ex in the power department stock for stock. But the fastest Z400 will Never come close to the fastest 250R or Raptor. That's just not what they're made for. So before offering up pinks to race another Raptor or 250R, take a deep breath, enjoy your quad, and make sure that you have it tomorrow.

 

OK let me straighten a few of you out. I never said it would beat any 250r or even any 250r besides the one I beat. Same with the other quads listed. I am not an idiot.
Hey Beachman, I got a Z400 that will "smoke" Your lightweight 250r, come on, give me a little credit.
I didn't call out any one to a pink slip race, I said I would put my pink slip on the line if I didn't win that race. Which I did enough times until they quit racing. I'll be there this weekend too and I'll do it again, because the same quads will be with me.
Sooner Duner, why do you have to put words in my mouth and be so confrontational? You need to take the deep breath. Read the post before you say things like that.
And if someone was wondering if I had a "hotcam" ? Its all stock inside.
MY POINT WAS THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PIPE ON A Z400, THINK ABOUT A LRD, not my quad can beat your quad.

 

I'm not being confrontational at all. Some of my comments relating to the 250r were directed at other people, namely FsT4WrD <250r's can't touch a Z/KFX>. I'm just saying that people shouldn't expect a Z400 to beat a 660 Raptor or 250r. There's too much horsepower difference. Your comment to Lt250R90RdR <I'll beat your quad too> does imply that you think that your quad will beat most any 250r two stroke being that you've most likely never seen his run. I'm just saying, your quad is not a drag quad and most people that buy a Z400 are not buying it for such. I'm just pointing that out, the same way that I'd point out the inaccuracy if someone posted that the Raptor was a better motocross machine than a Z-400. It's simply not the case, right??

No, I said that because the 250R (my brother in laws, I know the bike and rider) I was able to beat was bored .030 over, has a nice pipe, and the same type mods he had listed, unless LT250's got alot faster than 250r all the sudden than I wwould be able to beat his bike too.I didn't imply anything. I said I'll beat your bike too, thats it.
Look, I am not one of these dumb kids who runs his mouth off about stupid s#it. I know its not a drag quad, and I don't want a drag quad, I was just stating facts.

Dont know about everyone else but mine tops at 74 and from all the posts on top speed of a 250r = 68-71

No $hit, some of these people would rather argue than anything else. I thought it made sense. I guess some jokers on here say stupid crap, but to assume we are all that way is pretty lame.I am not positive my buddy and the 440 can come, but I'll try. My 440 is in the shop (still). I'll film this weekend and then I will have to email it, I don't have any where to host it. PM me your email and I'll send it later next week.

 

Just to set the record straight, I'm not trying to argue with anyone. There are a lot of people who come on these forums to try to find information about a particular quad that they may be interested in. If people make sweeping statements that may mislead others, then why wouldn't someone step in and contradict it. It would suck for someone to go out and buy a Z400 thinking that they're going to go out and beat Raptors and 250Rs in a drag race. After dumping roughly $6,000.00 in a new quad they should not be let down after their first drag race if that's what they want to do.

Most people who own a Z don't mind not being the fastest quad with bolt-ons in a drag race because they may be the fastest on the track and trail. The Z is a great quad that's setup well for MotoX, trail riding, etc. and that's what it was intended for. The Z is quick, but it isn't a speed demon, nor was it designed to be a drag quad.
