I have not yet read anything that says "my drag quad " If someone is looking to buy a quad then they should get all the pros and cons
not go out and buy it because they read one thread

 

"My drag quad"? I didn't know that we had to specify like we were in court. It was implied that... Nevemind, you're right about everything and you have the fastest stock quad in existence, or whatever will make you happy again. There ya go.

ok guys listen up.........the z400 for some reason is really good at ripping up the sand hills.....its the type of design that makes it good.........you take that bad boy and put it on the street with the other quads and the 250r will eat up everything........my dad has an lt250 and that is fully worked it...its does about 90 right now, and i know the z wont touch that........im inlove with the z and i see vids of that thing tearing up the sand hills stock and for some reason it does really good........if you do this to your z400, nothing will touch you....then again its 3,000 dollars later................ http://www.trinityracingproducts.com/suzz4440bigb.html

 

There is some truth to that, We raced the same race on a dry lake bed, with dirt tires and i still won, but, only by a lenght at most.

What is your problem? No one ever said it was the fastest quad, fastest stock quad, or whatever you are saying.
If my post read

I would agree with you, but you can go back and read what it really said, and remember that I was just saying that this LRD pipe made a huge difference.

Top speed has nothing to do with a drag race, espicially up a BIG sand hill.

anyway , I can not even come close to smokin a Raptor top end , I have even tryed to smoke one in my dreams and it still left me behind , I have only raced one Raptor and it is modded and faster then me.
So the quads in my pics are the only ones I have ever raced

Ok, you guys,

I have both the Z and the Raptor, my Z is my wifes bike but my daughter rides it as well. I took the Z out last weekend with a buddy of mine that has my old DS. We were hill climbing and I was no more than a bikes length behind him, he has also modded his engine to a high performance piston, 45 mm carb, alba pipe and jetted. I even raced a piped banshee with FMF pipes up the hill and beat him every time. He was or looked like an experience rider. Also, there was a blue stock Raptor there and I took him on the hill everytime also. The only place where they beat me was on the drags. I got them all on the start except for the Piped Raptor that came up. But after I got into the top end of third they were passing me.

I love that pipe from Trinity, it really woke up this bike. I love the power of my raptor but my Z is not far behind.

As for the DS, he was getting beat by a banshee that was really fast!! but my buddy is a big guy, so I took his bike and raced the banshee and beat him by 2-3 bike lengths and boy was that DS quick!! The banshee even raced me again thinking he did something wrong when starting so we raced once more which I still beat him again. I still havent got to race him with my Raptor but I bet it will be close.

Thats cool. I am really happy, as you are, with how that bike responds to a exhaust system, jetting, filter, ect. It goes good. the more people who don't think so the better, I guess.
Its kind of nice being able to get on the "girls bike" and not feel like a girl, huh? My wife is about 90# , I won't even start to say what quads she can beat with that kind of weight advantage!
