Z...Can't get the wheel off.....
I have a set of ITP rims on my Z. When I installed them...they were a tight fit (the holes in the rim and the studs on the hub). I wrenched them down and now that I want to take them off, the things won't come off. I want to take them off because I am putting some spacers on the front. I have to remove the stock studs anyway....so, I was thinking I could just pound out the stock studs....rather than trying to pull the tire off....which seems to be impossible. Here is the question....How are the stock studs removed from the hub? Do they just get pounded out? Are they pressure fitted from the factory? Thanks for the help guys.

Your stock studs have little splines on them and are pressed in. You can get them out by tapping on them, but be careful not to bend or damage your hub. You should be able to get your wheels off, try to hit your tires with a rubber mallet or a hammer to get them off. It would probably be easier to install your spacers with the tires off too.

I've had the same problem. You will have to bang the heck out of them. Next time make sure you turn your lug nuts around.

i did the same thing and what we did was pound the rim off with some thing that wont break, i used a metal bar and then pounded it with a ax and they came off...it can be a bi$ch, trust me. you will only do it once and never again.

Big Honda. You must have had one hell of a tech helping you with the rims.

i tried with the pounding technique....no luck. i am really thinking about pounding out the studs.....i gotta replace them anyways. do you really think the hub would break?

You need to beat those damn things like a rented mule. We used an axe handle to pound a lead pipe to get them off. It is really difficult, but they will come off.

I BET YOU DIDN'T PUT WASHERS UNDER YOUR LUG NUTS?? AND, YOU TURNED YOUR LUG NUTS AROUND, RIGHT?? Without washers, the hard steel lug nuts deform the softer aluminum rim holes, mashing them and making them smaller. That is why you can't get the rim off the studs. We have posted about this a thousand times!! How did you miss it?? You will only make this mistake once, right!!
