Jst bought a 2005 sportsman 90 2stroke and i have no power to anything but brake light and the nueltral light, wont strart ar all starter dont work direct either jst kick start new to this HELP PLZ bought it for $100 said it ran before they parked it for one year, i cleaned carb and tank has spark but dont know if its enough

 

Could be a faulty starter relay or starter,ignition switch,etc. This you have to trace down. For 5 bucks the manual can help with the electrical trouble shooting guides,wiring schematic,etc.2005 Polaris Sportsman 90 Service Manual PDF Download

 

How can o test th relay to see if its good

 

Just test first that you have power to the starter wire when you push the start button,lever pulled in.The plunger switch on the left lever incorporates the brake light plus has a starter lock out unless the lever is pulled which sends power to the red wire on the relay. Start button sends power from the red/white relay wire to the starter.

 

I tried everything got her running great ! It was the run/engine off switch was not making contact right thank you very much i appreciate it very much
