Default Need help 1993 kawasaki bayou 300 4wd

I have a 1993 kawasaki bayou 300 4wd. I need some help guys, I was out riding the other night and started up a step hill in 4wd low. I got half way up the hill and was going to slow to make it up it. I let off the gas and the bayou rolled down the hill, when I got to the bottom I couldn't move my shifter at all it's froze up. I turned it off and now can't start it back because it's in gear. I need some help trying to figure out a way to start this thing in gear or try to figure out what is wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't know why you can't shift.

To start it in gear, short the 2 big terminals on your starter solenoid
with a chunk of clean metal. You will want the ignition switch and kill
switch ON, and don't rev it up unless you are ready for the quad to take off.
