93 Trail Boss won't run

Ok, so I have a 93 Polaris trail boss 250 2 stroke. I can take the carb off, shoot some spray into the intake, and it'll fire up half way through the first pull. Put the carb back on, and nothing. It wont start on fuel, spray....nothing. It does spray fuel out of the back of the carb when i crank it. I've cleaned the carb, rebuilt the carb, tried different carbs, and put a new intake boot on it. It's driving me insane! I don't have a whole lot of experience with 2 stroke. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Compression test. If it's below a 100 psi you're going to have a hard time getting one to crank up and run. If compression is at least 100 psi or better, carb is clean, fuel supply is good, good spark, then usually a leaking crank seal behind the drive clutch is the main culprit.

Thanks! I got it to run but the throttle response is weird. it'll act like it is going to die, barely bump the throttle, and it kicks up like it is wide open for 1/2-1 second, and start kicking down. I lubed the cable and made sure it wasn't binding up anywhere. there is also a lot of oil coming out of the exhaust where the springs hold the pipe together. is that normal?

Erratic idle sounds like the crank seal behind the drive clutch is sucking in air. Some oil in the exhaust is normal as any two stroke can't burn it all. Plus if you have it mixed rich(32-36/1 if you're premixing) it can dribble even more. Also may be time for new springs.
